Residential Strovolos

UNIHALLS TRINITY

The student residences, known as Trinity UniHalls, designed by Eraclis Papachristou Architects, and completed in 2018, consist of three identical volumes which are rotated against each other and in accordance with the site geometry. This creates a series of in-between spaces that are unique in themselves.
A key architectural element is the elevated slab, which forms the roof of the ground floor facilities. To the same effect there are bridges that evolve out of the circulation cores and terraces at various levels. The identity of the project is the bold and consistent system of railing, cladding and enclosure serves to lend the definition of volumes an intriguing fluidity of occasional solid, stuttering transparency and overriding rhythm.
