The FuelHouse Boutigue Fitness Club transforms a 600m2 underground space in the urban core of Nicosia, formerly a nightclub, into a contemporary fitness environment. Entry is at ground level, where glazed surfaces with coloured films create a continuously shifting composition of light and colour in response to the visitor’s movement. A 25-metre corridor with a sloped ceiling engages scale and perspective, leads downwards to the gym areas while simultaneously organizing the program. Acoustics, lighting, and materiality revealed during demolition collectively shape the overall spatial experience.
