    HOUSE 0410

Residence 0410 involves the restoration of a listed building dating back to 1904, along with the construction of a contemporary extension that continues the historic residence, designed by architect Marios Christodoulides. The original house follows a typical layout of its time, with three sequential spaces and flexible use. At its core lies the “Sun Hall,” around which the new additions are organized. The intervention introduces two volumes on either side, forming an intermediate courtyard. These new volumes lengthen and enrich the sequence of spatial experiences as you move through each room, and they all contribute as episodes to the narrative of transversing between old and new.

    NESSEUS LUX

Located in Nicosia, Agios Dometios, within a residential area closed to the university district, NESSEUS LUX offers contemporary living for students and young professionals. Designed by EPITESSERA ARCHITECTS, the project explores the idea of living comfortably within compact spaces, emphasizing the relationship between interior and outdoor areas that encourage interaction and dialogue. The four-storey building, consisting apartments and studio units, has been conceived as an urban sculpture, a statement piece within the neighbourhood. The façade treatment is defined by custom, cut-out illuminated panels featuring abstract human silhouettes. These create a poetic dialogue between architecture and urban life, reflecting the movement of people within the city as a continuous story, by both day and night.

    SIX UNIC RESIDENCES

The SIX UNIC RESIDENCES is a student housing complex designed by Eraclis Papachristou Architects and completed in 2018. Six solid towers rise from an elevated platform that contains the shared communal spaces. This base is shaped by folds and curves, creating a dynamic horizontal landscape that supports the vertical volumes above. The towers, made of exposed reinforced concrete, are set at different inclinations, leaning toward each other. The composition is defined by strong geometry: angled and slightly leaning towers, sharp voids, and exposed concrete surfaces. Together, these elements form a compact but expressive landmark within the city. Recognized for its architectural ambition, the project was nominated for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award, highlighting its contribution to contemporary architectural discourse in Cyprus and beyond.
